Big Brother is tired of all the nasty things that have been said about the least popular president ever, so in honor of George W. Bush’s final 24 hours in office, presented here are 24 nice things to say about the president. This is number 14:
W has spent his entire adult life as a screw-up. He avoided the draft for Vietnam war by joining the Air National Guard and then failed to complete his service. He tried to drill oil wells in West Texas but came up dry. He ran for congress and lost. He had multiple arrests for drunk-driving because he was an alcoholic. He says he was not addicted to cocaine, but you all know drug addicts are liars. Through thirty-odd years of failure and disappointment there was one constant in his life: his wife Laura.
A librarian and schoolteacher, she just could not resist an opportunity to mold the man who would become leader of the free world (where he, not surprisingly, still continued to blow it). She stood by him and supported him through all the crazy schemes, and missteps. God bless you Laura Bush for sticking to it, but did the rest of us have to go along for the ride with you?
